Company History

The company was established in 1986 and for many years was located at the Science Park of Brunel University’s Runnymede Campus.

Avco has grown over the years at a manageable pace, and has a policy of taking university placement students, recruiting the brightest graduates and keeping them at the forefront of technology. The result is a financially stable company with a very low staff turnover. For our customers, this means guaranteed business continuity. In October 2009, Avco relocated to new premises in Slough to facilitate its expanding business.

2009:

  • Instigated a program of compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards
  • Moved to new premises in Slough

2008:

  • Won Trafficmaster as a client
  • First £250k+ project successfully delivered

2005:

  • An estimated 50% of English Local Authorities as clients

2004:

  • Commencement of Payroll Services

2002:

  • ISO 9001/TickIT Qualification attained

2000:

  • Accredited by Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ)

1998:

  • Introduced AnyComms to the Education sector

1995:

  • Began working with Experian

1993:

  • Commenced working in the Education sector

1991:

  • Won Ministry of Defence as a client

1990:

  • Won HSBC as a client

1986:

  • Avco Systems established at the Science Park of Brunel University’s Runnymede Campus
