AnyComms Plus

Designed specifically with Local Authorities in mind, AnyComms Plus provides secure, audited data transfer both internally and with affiliate organisations. Avco’s secure web-based file transfer application, AnyComms Plus, allows users to move data to and from various locations in the knowledge that the files will be transferred securely. AnyComms Plus can be administered by one or more people, allowing shared responsibility and delegation of duties in the case of absence as a result of illness or holidays.

It has no requirement for other components such as Active X, so it can be configured without technical intervention. What’s more, because it is browser based, it can be used on Windows and Mac platforms. The system can be configured for a single file or for multiple files. The Administrator can select and configure the files to be uploaded and downloaded and has access to a range of logging options to confirm that data transfers have been successful. Users can browse file locations on the local system and on the networked file server and have easy access to help via the contact details listed on the home page.

Administrators and other users are controlled through the system’s own database. Each user has a login ID and a password. The system allows for “three strikes and out” configuration so that user accounts can be locked after three failed login attempts. If a user loses his login details, the Administrator can retrieve the details from the database on the user’s behalf. Only registered users have access to the system.

The system also incorporates automatic email notification to advise users that their files have been delivered or collected. The use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol provides a minimum 128 bit encryption.
