Avco Branding of Bright Accounts Products

Avco has consolidated its position in the accounting software market by joining forces with a former Customer, Bright Accounting. The companies have enjoyed a mutually beneficial association since 2004, with Avco enhancing and maintaining Bright’s software products, while Bright has supplied the requisite accounts and regulatory expertise.

As of 1st November 2011, in future releases, Bright’s Lite, Accounting and Star software will be rebranded respectively as Avco Lite, Avco Standard and Avco Professional. All licensing and support will be provided by Avco, under its Managing Director, Raphael Kanza. Bright’s Managing Director, Natalie Hayes, will work in an advisory capacity at Avco’s Slough offices, where – in collaboration with the in-house Technical team – she will continue to have a vital role in the ongoing support and development of the software. She will also give training in, and demonstrations of, the products:

• Standard – a single user package which caters for the needs of medium businesses

• Lite – for single user bookkeeping

• Professional – the Multi User, Multi Currency package

The image shown on the left is the original Bright accounting software. This will now be re-designed by Avco and result in a more modern approach, shown on the right. Current users should have no problem adjusting to the new design as the in-house designers have kept the same functionality and similarity as the old layout.

Avco has extensive experience of the products, and has a dedicated support team available during business hours, so support callers will speak to an operator rather than an answering machine.

For future improvements, Avco’s developers and designers are ideally placed to introduce the next generation of enhancements.

Avco will be contacting Bright’s customers to help ensure a seamless transition to Avco Accounting. At this time, we shall formalize customers’ entitlements to software upgrades, support and other services.
